Wigan Warriors making ‘Triple News’ today

Started by: wigvet (3550)

1. A ‘Sell-out’ for the World Club challenge against Penrith

2. Owen Farrell is definitely not coming as he’s signed for French team Racing 92

But most surprising of all

3. Joel Tomkins is appointed to the coaching staff

It might be a sell out but I bet the first few front rows will be covered in plastic Why do they do this at big matches Anyone know?

Don’t know for sure Peter, but I’ll bet it’s to do with advertising. As the plastic tarps will have sponsors logos/names on them

Thought they were poor against Wakefield…our backs didn’t create at all..albeit it was a totally reserve back line except Wardle who played to test his injury…Sean O’loughlins commented that he wanted an arm wrestle for his forwards to blow away the cobwebs seemed reasonable but I think Matt Peet would have been a little disappointed and with the defence out wide gave the winger aces of space to ease over

We can only hope that a more experienced and stronger squad will be named for the game against Hull FC with the World Club Challenge game coming after only one Super League game at Castleford.

The game at Wakefield should have been treated more seriously, especially when it was a testimorial for a Wigan born player, even if he had not played for the Warriors.

I suppose they know what they are doing…the only forward that impressed me was Mago..I really like him…think the others were there for an arm wrestle…the backs were just outplayed by an experienced back line
